3D Works
Welcome to the section ‘3D Works’, which showcases my personal projects done in 3D software. Some are renders, some are short animations or 3D prints, all are experimental, and all were fun to do.
Just Tonight
A still render (Cycles) of 44-second music video based on the song Just Tonight by the Pretty Reckless. The rose was modelled and animated in Blender, the ground serves as music viisualiser and uses audio data from the song, and the background of moving raindrops changing shades of red-orange was procedurally made.
Big Daddy
3D character design of Big Daddy from American Story NYC. THe character was done in Blender and post processed in Procreate.
Skull Snail
3D printed snail with the low-poly skull. This little guy was done on a Prussa printer that used multiple fillaments at one time. The skull is printed separately and attached by a slide-and-click mechanism onto the body of a snail that was printed with navy and clear filaments.
Neurons
A still image from short animation about the brain showing neuronal activity.
Under the Water
A still image from a short clip using audio data that distorts the bubble around the figure. This piece was inspired by and made to the song Unde the Water by Pretty Reckless. It re-creates one of the band’s iconic album covers.
Anatomy of Touch
A little side project showing the skeletal, vascular, and nerve systems of two hands touching. Made in Blender and rendered with Cycles.
Cherub
This cherub was made as the main character for the game ‘Motyka’ for a Brno Game Jam 2022. The low poly version was created for the animations and the game itself, but here is a high poly render, which can also be viewed in Sketchfab.
Facial Reconstruction of Jošt Moravský
This little project was a go at the facial reconstruction of Jošt Moravský. The skull was provided and prepared by anthropologists, and I had a go at digitally adding soft tissue onto the skull. This render was made to show the different stages of digital reconstruction, hence the half-reconstructed face.
Eyectopus
This character was made as a fun project to practice rigging, creating an eyeball, and sculpting tentacles. Eyectopus is based on a drawing I did when I was a kid in art class. It was simplified and used as the main character in the video mapping festival MASKA.
Lantern
This little project aimed at learning procedural materials using nodes in Shading tab in Blender 2.93. The lantern was modeled mostly using curves and is based on a plastic lantern toy. Of couse, some artistic freedom was taken as the original toy had snowmen inside and wasn’t rusty. The rust and other textures were made and adjusted based on a tutorial by Joakim Tornhill, where he focused on procedural maerials. While a 3D model of a lantern (very cool 3D model) was provided in the mentined tutorial, I wanted to learn the txturing on my own 3D digital lantern. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
Can-full of Tears
A little Blender CGI practice with a twist of dark humor. Here’s a quick ‘commercial# for a fake product that I#ve done at a hotel room one right. Big thanks to Axis Studio for the tutorial. My work has plenty of things to be fixed but it was fun to make. Rendered with Cycles.
Water Heart
Experimenting with physics particles, specifically rendering with Cycles and using Geometry Type flow on an organic heart I created in Blender.
Newton’s Eyes
A little practice with physics and procedural eyes. Based on several separate tutorials.
