Brno -> Minsk 1941
Minsk -> Brno 2021

November 16th, 2021 marked the 80th anniversary of the first deportation of Jews from Brno to Minsk. Out of 1000 people who were dragged to concentration and death camps, only 13 survived. Today and tomorrow, Masaryk University celebrates the many who were lost and the few who survived. It reminds of the atrocities done during the Second World War and takes a stance against hatred, xenophobia and antisemitism.
It’s been a pleasure to take part on the video mapping projection created by Jana P. Francová to the live music by Tomáš Vtípil. The animations we’ve done were done alongside Filip Zlacký and Filip Opálený and were projected on the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic to give a different view on the horrible events of the past that should never be forgotten, nor repeated.
