GSA Graduate Degree Show ‘19
It was a wonderful year studying Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy at the Glasgow School of Art and the Glasgow University. I was very fortunate to have met many talented and helpful people and now we had an opportunity to show all the hard work we have put into learning and creating our independent projects. I was very fortunate to have Dr Livingstone (GSA) and Dr Wall (GU) as my final project supervisors. This project focused on explaining the abstract unseen concept through combination of 2D and 3D animation and seeing how helpful it is as a learning tool. Specifically, it focused on the microbial communication between the gut-brain axis, which was studied in Dr Wall’s lab in the Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation. The week showcasing at the McLellan Galleries gave us a great opportunity to show out work, but also see works of other students. The MedVis students showed animations, interactive applications, augmented and virtual reality and educational games. Big thanks to our supportive teachers, mentors, and an amazing class of people with whom I am looking to work with again in the future.
