Defunct Settlement
This project consisted of doing a 3D reconstruction in Blender during old black and white photographs and areal photos. The 3D model was then prepared for 3D printed in four parts to create a bigger, square-shaped 3D physical model of the town Muzlov. The model had to be initially created as one model and then divided into four equal parts within the software so that all of the parts fit with the adjacent ones. This was done because the 3D printer wasn’t big enough to print a 1m x 1m big model, which was about 25 cm high at the highest points. The 3D print was later spray-painted white, wrapped, and transported into the museum, where it was assembled and put under glass.
